  We went here on a recommendation, looking for traditional Mallorcian food, having been told it was great value for money. What we found were prices equivalent to those in the fancy restaurants along the waterfront. There was no mention of a menu of the day, and when we asked for a bottle of water, we were given the expensive option, without being asked. Looking around the restaurant, every single other table had the 1.5L plastic water bottles, available from the supermarket ... no doubt they paid 1/4 of the price. We left feeling taken advantage of. The food itself was average, and we have had much nicer at other places in Mallorca.

  Sunday 3 courses for €17 with wine and it was beautiful!! Best food we've had in Majorca. Choice of paella, octopus frittata or salad for starter (all tasted lovely and were big portions) and then pork lion, pigs cheeks or John dory for main. We had the john dory which was perfectly cooked with extremely butter potatoes and the 2 others had three pigs cheeks which melted as you cut into them and with a rich meaty gravy too. The atmosphere was brilliant, a true gem of a restaurant tucked away in port de polenca. A definite must visit especially at lunch time. Booking is essential!!!
