  Tucked amongst some tourist trap restaurants in Port Pollenca is this gem. Iru has a unique menu that doesn't lean on the paella but branches out to incredible pork, fish and pasta dishes.

  Large, modern restaurant serving a range of meals from traditional paella to chicken curry to the blackened steak that I had. They tend to slightly undercook steaks in Mallorca so order with that in mind. Friendly staff here who were smiley and helpful.

  The house wine is not good (preventing the fifth star) but the waiter brought something to replace it that was excellent.

  We've been coming to Iru as a family for the past few years as the food is good and it's great for gluten free. Love the seabass (photo). Can be quite quiet sometimes but very enjoyable. Great location for a walk along the seafront afterwards.

  The service is friendly and multi-lingual (regrettably I don't speak enough Spanish) that was helpful in describing the nuances of the dishes.
